How do I start?
Register on our registration page and tell us your goal and level (or your child’s age). We assess your level for free and recommend the right course and package.
Are the lessons live?
Yes. Lessons are live online with a teacher and a group, not pre-recorded videos.
How many students are in a group?
Kids and teens groups have 3 to 6 students, and adult groups have 5 to 10. A group only starts once it reaches its minimum: 3 students for kids and 5 for adults.
When do classes start after I pay?
We send you the lesson schedule and the teacher's name within 7 days of payment, and classes start within 14 days at the latest from the payment date.
What is the difference between group and private lessons?
In a group you learn with classmates at your level, at a lower price per lesson. In private (1:1) lessons the lesson is just you and the teacher. Absence and guarantee rules differ between the two, and you can see them on the How it works page.
Is there a level test?
Yes. The level test is completely free, and nothing is deducted for it if you ask for a refund.
What age can a child start?
Kids courses start from age 4, and our tracks go up to 16 and above.
Do I need prior experience?
No. We place your level and start from a suitable point, from zero or from any level.
Do you offer IELTS preparation and business English?
Yes. The IELTS course covers all four sections: listening, reading, writing and speaking. Business English covers meetings, emails and presentations, and the programme is set around your team.
How much do the courses cost?
Group packages start from  97 for one month (8 lessons). Every price in Saudi riyals, by duration and number of lessons, is in the Packages section of each course page.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, with Tabby or Tamara. The subscription price is fixed, with no interest or extra fees for you, and your account is activated right after the payment is accepted.
Which payment methods are available?
Visa and Mastercard cards, mada, STC Pay, Apple Pay and bank transfer, plus Tabby and Tamara instalments.
Is there a discount on longer packages?
Yes. The longer the package, the lower the price per lesson. The discount reaches 55% on the 12-month group package. See the Packages section for details.
Can I get a refund?
You get a full (100%) cash refund within 7 days of payment as long as you have not started the first lesson, minus only the bank or electronic transfer fee. Every case is listed in the Refund and Postponement Policy.
What if I cancel before the course starts?
48 hours or more before the start (after the 7 days): a cash refund minus a 10% administrative and bank fee, or the full amount as learning credit. Less than 48 hours before the start: no cash refund, and the full amount is kept as learning credit for a replacement group.
What if I withdraw after the first lesson?
For groups: if you withdraw after the first lesson and before the second, the lesson is deducted at the original official price with no offers, plus a 10% administrative fee on the remainder, and the rest is refunded in cash. There is no refund after the second lesson.
What is learning credit?
It is credit kept for you instead of a cash refund. The Academy offers a suitable replacement group within 14 days, and if none is available you get the full amount back in cash immediately. Once you are told about the replacement, you have 14 days to confirm.
What if the group is late to start?
If the group cannot start within 14 days, or the start time is changed in a way that does not suit you, you are immediately entitled to a full (100%) cash refund with no administrative deductions, or to convert it into learning credit.
Can I transfer my seat to someone else?
Yes. Seat gifting is available if 50% or more of the lessons remain, and the replacement takes the level test for free.
What if I miss a lesson in a group?
Excuses for absence are not accepted in the group system. You go back to the lesson recording to follow what you missed, so the plan keeps running with the group.
What are the excuse rules for private lessons?
You must excuse yourself and reschedule at least 6 hours before the lesson, through the official channels. An excuse under 6 hours, or not attending without notice, means the lesson counts as delivered and is deducted from your balance. A documented emergency with an official report is excepted, once.
Can I freeze my subscription?
Yes, depending on the package: the 1-month package has no freeze, the 3-month package gets two weeks (14 days), the 6-month package one month (30 days), and the annual package two months (60 days). A freeze is requested in writing 48 hours ahead and taken as one continuous block. The annual package has a maximum validity of 14 months.
What happens if the group shrinks after classes start?
By default we move you for free to an equivalent group at the same level and time. If all the remaining students agree in writing to continue as a mini group, only 25% is added to the value of the remaining lessons for each student.
What is the Golden Guarantee?
If you meet the conditions: attending 90% of lessons, submitting 80% of the homework, keeping the camera on throughout the lesson and taking the final test on time, you can repeat the level for free. Details are on the Why Wella Academy page.
Is the camera required?
Yes. Turning the camera on is a learning requirement, to verify the student's identity and participation during the lesson. Technical faults reported to support are excepted, up to two times.
Do you record or publish children's images?
No. Our policy strictly prohibits recording, storing or broadcasting images or videos that show the faces of students or children. Video is limited to closed live viewing during lesson time only.
How do you handle my data?
We collect your name, email and phone number only to provide the service, and we only share your data with service providers or to comply with the law. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
What is the difference between IELTS and TOEFL?
Both test all four skills, but scoring differs: IELTS is scored 0 to 9, TOEFL iBT 0 to 120. The institution you apply to decides which one it accepts.
What are KET, PET and FCE?
Cambridge exams by level: KET for A2, PET for B1, FCE for B2, CAE for C1 and CPE for C2. We prepare you with mock tests.
From what age can a child take Cambridge exams?
Kids have Starters (Pre A1), Movers (A1) and Flyers (A2), then KET and PET by level.
Do you offer Business English for a specific field?
Yes, we tailor it to your field: programming and IT, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, engineering, sales, banking and more.
